You're reading the automatic tea maker's response. I actually have those little plastic bag thingies you fill up and then punch out as you need ice cubes.
Making iced tea isn't that hard, about six -8 tea bags in warm water , some sugar, some lemon juice into the frig for four or five hours and you can't beat it.

I have four ice trays, usually all empty, or shoved in there with only one cube left. I don't have an automatic ice maker.

Four ice trays, usually empty because I have a self-defrosting fridge and the process seems to get rid of the ice cubes as well as the built-up ice.
