They've already said they won't press charges against her. I think they should, but their reasoning is, if they press charges, women will be less likely to report being raped. That's not something they, or anyone else wants.

Legally, what she did is a crime - "making a false police report" - a misdemeanor and punishable by fine and/or jail time. I think they should throw the book at her. She has not only tarnished the lives of the players involved, she has reeked havoc on Duke University - although not true, now when people think of Duke, they will think of this alleged crime. It's a shame that people like that are allowed to walk the halls of our society --

She's probable judgment evidence, as in too broke to undertaking suing. She probable is merely no longer prosecuted, because of the fact the completed incident is already embarassing to the DA's workplace. probable the main she ought to wish for from the destiny is an visual attraction on Jerry Springer.

While everyone believes that she made false accusations, it's another thing to prove it in court. To do that would mean reinvestigating the same event but this time not to gather evidence against the players but against her, reinterviewing all the witnesses, presenting an indictment, selecting jurors, lawyers, a judge, more publicity. Although in an ideal world it would be done, I think that in reality it would just bring more pain to the players and their families.

Probably won't prosecute - but if I was the three Duke players - sue the hell out of her - let her wiggle that butt for another 10 years to pay off the slander/defamation suit.

Probably not because the situation and whatever case the police can try to build against any other suspect will also be tarnished. I doubt that anything will happen with it and that everything will fall to the wayside. I hate political court cases that are tried in the media.

No.
They'll try to make this go away as soon as possible. They got the politician who made the real errors. The accuser will just get the mental help she needs. What does society gain by punishing her? One more person in jail. I see no value in that. She's not a danger to anyone but herself.

Yes they will prosecute her for filing and making false police reports.
She will go to jail for lying... and most likely face a civil lawsuit from the 3 lacrosse players involved.

Of course not, she's like a triple minority. They should. If a white man broke the law, caused all that trouble, ruined those people's lives, and cost the government millions of dollars, that white man would already be in prison.
And, by the way, feminists should be pissed off at that woman. It is that crap, pulled by women like that, that keep people from giving women their full due.

Not likely since the prosecutor threw the fight and is now disbarred. And the Duke players cannot be tried again. Justice for all. Ha
