I have used Cycle when my tank was new and it worked great Was wondering if you should still use it when you do water changes. or when you add new fish like the bottle say. I know some people dont belive in useing it at all. Thats not what i want to know. I want to know if it really needs to be use at ever water change or when you add new fish.

I tries it and found that it really didn't preform as advertised. Once a tank is cycled, it remains cycled so using it at every water change would be a waste and only pollution for the tank.

I've only heard bad things about cycle, but I've never tried it myself. Bio-spira is the best "instant cycling" product but is very hard to find. I like Stability by SeaChem, it's worked well in my tank. I don't use it at every water change but if I increase my bioload I will dose the Stablilty since it doesn't hurt.

ive heard that the biggest problem with those products is it takes a LOOONG time for the tank to actually cycle...and sometimes it doesnt at all. i was told to just use substrate from a mature aquarium...so far so good.

and as far as that not being the answer you wanted...i guess you should just read the directions that were provided....they should know more about their own product than anyone else.

Cycle is useless, I know I bought some.

I have heard a good deal of nice things about BioSpira though.
