Why spend the most of your young life learning communication skills, and then resort to "text talk"?

No I don't. Even if I don't like typing like that I don't care if other people do. Most of my friends type like that. It was hard for me to understand when I first got my laptop but is not that hard to read when you get used to it. It's more of a kids and teens thing and maybe that's why older people don't understand it.

i don't know...lol like when people say things like, u instead of you or h8t instead of hate....i think it's cool...and so much faster, lol it's an e-mail not school...so i don't know y people get so annoyed, but than again if u are new to this i could understand y it could be annoying, because when i first used this i could never understand what people were writing , but than i got used to it.

Because it makes them look drunk, careless, or deliberately annoying. They can express their creativity on many other sites on the internet.
