that take you & what memories does it make you recall?

Some of the ones I remember are still being sold, but are now called another name. Like Opal Fruits, Marathon etc.

Rhubarb n custard boiled sweets, and sometimes the equally yummy strawberries n cream version.. YUM!

Yeah I liked those chalky little sweets and lollies, and all sorts of horrid chewy stuff.
I can't really remember the names though.

It just reminds me of childhood in general, and not being afraid to eat stuff that fell on the floor, ew! lol

oh we had penny sweets, milk bottles, cola bottles, fried eggs, big red sugary blobs, lips, zig zags, these little bits of chocolate in a coloured foil tins etc.
GOBSTOPPERS lol! ice cream in a plastic cone with a ball of chewing gum at the bottom
flying saucers (sherbert) lovehearts (with no e-mail me! lol), paper money,

chocolate cigarettes in replica packets!

most of them taste disgusting or tasteless to me now.

I used to love cola cubes,sherbert pips,bon bons,black jacks,aniseed balls,oh so many,lol
Some 30 odd years ago I used to get sixpence every day from my grandad,and half a crown on a Saturday,But what you could do with that!

It was a candy bar called Seven (forgotten word). It was divided into seven parts and had a different flavor for each, like caramel in one, peanut butter in another, toffee in the third. It was like having seven candy bars for one price.

There used to be one be one called tobacco (how wrong is that) it was long strands of coconut flovoured stuff covered in a brown sugary coating...... and of course sweet ciggarettes again just so wrong! Black jacks, fruits salads, Pink bubble gum, gob stoppers, anniseed balls, cherry lips, sherbet pips, nutella pots with little spreaders, sherbet dips, Wham bars, space dust..............oh god how old am I???

peanut treats,now called peanut M'M'S, pineapple chunks (1963), and paregoric which were like a cough sweet, again around the 1960's. Oh and toasted teacakes,yummy.

spangles,sherbet pips,bones (crisp type things),voice tablets,liquorish root,not a sweet as such but i loved it! my sister and i used to get our pocket money and go to the sweet shop,quite a distance to get our sweets from a very 'olde worlde' shop,the old scales,the wooden shelf's etc;but sadly it was gone,a pile of rubble,the past had gone,our 1/4 of sweets was no longer to be had,*sad sigh*that was the 80's.

RC cola and vanilla ice cream,yes means summer had finally arrived and every Sunday evening after church we has a baseball game ,impromu just who ever showed up it was great!
