Is your birth control new? Sometimes it takes 3 months for your body to adjust to a new birth control. This is called spot bleeding and it is okay. Its normal. Your birth control should have come with a pamphlet and you should read it. You could also look up spot bleeding or go to your birth controls website to see what it says. If you really are concerned, you should call your doctor or gyno. The nurses at the gyno should be able to answer your question without having to go in to see her/him

It would be good to know what type of birth control you are on and when you started using this type of birth control, as well as your age.

I would talk to the doctor who prescribed the BC for you and see what they say.
