also i know there are different effects from menopause but do they last forever or are they temporary?? when i go through menopause will i have excess sweat and cramping until the end of my days?!

Temporary is one way to explain it, it lasts for about 10 years.

But yes it does pass, the sweats don't last the 10 years, that is usually in the beginning, then the mood swings start and you have memory loss.

I have been going through it for 7 yrs now, and learned to deal with it, but there is a silver lining to it all.

No more periods or cramps every month, that's worth all of the things menopause puts you through alone.

Menopause is the end of ovulation and menustration, yes, and the effects like hot flashes, facial hair, weight gain and dry skin are temporary for some (like me) and longer for others. They say it takes up to 3 years for the hormonal change to complete, and it seems to be a good estimate. Didn't have the excess sweating and cramping so I must be good.

yes when a woman goes through menopause it means he r period wont come back as an no its not temporarily if through menopause you wont get your period back as well no eggs will be in the ovaries while through menopause

it doesn't last forever, older women who have gone through menopause are called post menopausal, see the is site for more info.

MENOPAUSE IS THAT TIME IN A WOMANS LIFE WHEN HER BODY IS CHANGING FROM MOTHERHOOD BACK TO JUST WOMANHOOD. YES SOME WOMEN WILL EXPERIANCE SWEATING AND CRAMPING AND OTHERS DONT EVEN KNOW THEY ARE GOING THRU IT EXCEPT THEIR PERIODS STOP. AND NO IT DOESNT LAST FOREVER . EACH WOMAN IS DIFFERANT AND THERE ARE MANY MEDICATIONS OUT THERE NOW THAT MAKE IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE IF YOU NEED THEM
