I mean, Culpepper takes a lot of risks and tends to hang on to the ball too long sometimes, but I think Trent Green is one hit away from retirement. I think Culpepper brings more skills to the table than Green. The Dolphins will go down in flames this year. And what will happen to Culpepper? I hear the Falcons may soon have an opening.

Yes and No. You have to look at the whole picture. For the MIAMI DOLPHINS, Trent Green is a much better quarterback RIGHT NOW. Yes, he's 37 years old, and yes he is coming off a severe concussion, but he appears to be in good shape right now. He can be a good one year stop gap while John Beck lears the NFL game. There's no guarantee when and if Culpepper will be available for the 2007-08 season. If the Dolphins had a healthy Daunte Culpepper, this question never exists, because he put up some good numbers when healthy. Oops I forgot one key point. HE HASN'T DONE JACK SINCE HE HASN'T HAD RANDY MOSS ON THE OTHER END OF HIS PASSES!! So unless Culpepper is going to New England and outplay Tom Brady and take his spot, I don't see him having a whole lot of success anyway. Thank God my New Orleans Saints didn't get him. I thank the Miami Dolphins medical staff right after I thank the Houston Texans for not drafting Reggie Bush. The stupiditiy of these two franchises paid dividends for my team. But back to the topic, Culpepper will eventually be a starter again and play another five years. Green may not play another five minutes. Green is better now but Culpepper will be better later.

No, not at all. Culpepper can obviously scramble better, but Trent Green is the better QB. Since 2001 when he became a Chief, the only 2 QBs that have put up better numbers than green are Brett Favre and Peyton Manning. And he's done all that with no big time WR. All the guys he's had to throw to (with the exception of Tony Gonzalez) would be #3 recievers on most any other NFL team. Oh yeah, any QB taking snaps in the NFL is one hit away from retirement and Green is healthier now than Culpepper is.

You are way off. Green has had the career and the stats to place him far and away above Culpepper, even a healthy Culpepper. With the devastating injury Culpepper had he has lost the one attribute that made him dangerous, his mobility. Culpepper never was very good at reading Ds, or never has had much a touch on his passes. Miami is a better team with Trent Green at QB. I'd be very surprised if any team signs Culpepper unless he does get cut by Miami and a team signs him at league minimum. That is about all he is worth.

I think Trent Green is a better QB than Dante Culpepper because Green gets injuries that he can bounce back from, the broken fingers, and the concussion mainly. It may take time but he gets back to being the great QB that he his. Dante on the other hand injured his knee. No QB can say they ever played the same after an injury to their knees. He used to be able to run like Vince Young didwhen VY was in high school but now he runs like Ben Roethlisberger. When ever he runs with the ball the Coaches run to nearest church and pray he doesn't get hurt. Trent Green knows he won't even out run a retarded mule so he stays in the pocket and makes the sure pass on every down. Dante can't stand in the pocket because he's a bit too impatient. And i don't think Dante will ever be great again because he'll have the whole being escorted off the field thing follow him where ever he goes.but back to the injury thing,TG gets injuries that may take 20 minutes to fix,or maybe it takes a few weeks to fix. Dante gets injuries that can only be cushioned. He's like the old patient in the Hospital that every1 is nice to all the time because they know he's gonna die. Its hard for me to say this about a scrambler like DC was but its the truth.

I have no idea what the Dolphins are doing. At least keep him around until training camp and let him compete for the job. I cannot believe that the Dolphins would rather have Trent Green, a an aging veteran quarterback who just came back from missing an entire season due to injury, a guy who never was that great of a QB anyway, over a guy who just a couple years ago was considered one of the best QB's in the league. He had one bad year. New coach, new system, I think the Dolphins are gonna be regretting this one.

I think Culpepper should have the right to battle Trent Green in the preseason. Culpepper would have a great chance, i think he might acually win the job

culpepper was better in his prime, but since his injury, he hasnt been as impressive. the dolphins still probably might have wasted money and value to get an aging trent green who was terrible last year. culpepper is still probably better.

Culpepper had a good target to work with, but also if he is at full health culpepper is better than green.

I think Culpepper used to b, but since his knee injury, he just hasn't been the same. If that knee injury wouldn't have happened, he would b top 5 qb's right now.
