Get a ticket and fly to the opposite side of the earth. An asteroid on a scale of 1 to 10, and 10 being the worst, will cause global climate change but not a earth shattering catastrophe. This is a asteroid, not the moon or another planet.

Your question indicates total death and destruction is unavoidable, so based on that premise I would gather with loved ones to spend the the last hours of our lives in each others company while avoiding and protecting ourselves from the people that always seem to try take advantage of a bad situation, such looters and other would be criminals.
