I read up til 9.30 am....rubbish I know

I have actually read it. I love the ending 'Yes...yes...' about orgasm. But I very much liked the bits when he was just sitting on the toilet and talking about it. It is not rubbish. I am a university lecturer on English, and I think Ulysses is a great book. Who is writing like that nowadays? I read a great deal but for me English Lit is going down the pan (except for Rose Tremain, a very very good writer). The one I really miss is Iris Murdoch, who I think was quite extraordinary.

Have read all the way through it only once, fairly recently. Read big chunks of each chapter in college, enough to pass the tests.

I read it! I like it a lot.

Ok I didn't. I read the first page. My friend sussed me out when she saw the spine wasn't crinkled. Damn those spines!
