My grandfather got told off for speaking Gaelic in school and an aunt could not be called Siobhan in school but Hanna,a less melodious name
. Na' fuil si' hainnis? Isn't that miserable? Abair amhran. Sing a song in Gaelic and that should send the cretin into orbit. Beannachtai! Dia dhuit!

I wish I could speak it, my ancestry is Irish but the ability to speak the language was lost----English only, english only, rats!!
