Badfinger. They started out with the Beatles' record company Apple, and were naturally thought to be Beatle clones. While they did have some similarities to the Beatles they also had a style of their own. If anyone wants to hear a great rock-pop album I urge you to buy Wish You Were Here (not the Floyd album, it came out a year earlier). A lot fans compare it to Abbey Road, and that is a somewhat fair comparison. It has much of the same emotion as it was recorded under very dire circumstances. They also wrote and performed "Without You", which was later covered to great success by Harry Nilson and later by Mariah Carey. A great band that deserved a lot more recognition then they got. Most people remember them for how the music industry treated them, and not the music, which is a shame.

Classic Badfinger Lineup
Pete Ham - guitar, keyboards, vocals
Tom Evans - bass, vocals
Joey Molland - guitar, vocals
Mike Gibbins - drums, vocals

Man Man. They are touring with Modest Mouse right now. Signed to some local alt label. Their album stuff is good, but go look up what their live show is like.
