About 98% of the time, I write a short Thank You eMail to the person who gave me a Best Answer. Sometimes I get behind in sending them out, but I try to give my thanks.

Yes, I personally send them a thank you and a box of chocolates. Most of the time the candy is gone by the time they get it but hey!! I tried.

I always do if I feel they answered my question adequately and as educated as possible. I would want the points so when I ask questions I am considerate and give them to others

Not really, sometimes I feel a little greaful though, and I'm like well are you sure mine was really the best answer? I guess I get a little shy about it.
