I try to keep an open mind a couple of the most influential (good and bad and one of them I had/have a strained relationship with) people in my real life turned out to be bicurious and I didn't find out or adjust to them having relationships until much later in life, I come from a very sexually reserved/oppressed family so it's hard.
But I try to tell myself not every gay person is mean, hostile, or has a mental illness that affects them so. So I try to have an open mind. One of the reasons I come to this section.

I am not gay but I think that gays and lesbians are like regular people in many ways. I think that is terrible that people make fun of gays and lesbians. Hey, gays and lesbians are people too and they have feelings!

Being gay is considered different. Just like being black (in the US at least), or being red haired... does it matter. I think not. And I want to point out that I am very religious and that God says that we must be kind to our neighbours, without any provisions on what they are like. EVeryone is our neighbor on earth when you think of the realm God rules.

Find some of them very interesting, some (my favorite) hilariously comedic. As intelligent as the next person. But feel that life dealt them a tough hand. Glad it wasn't in my cards.

That they are human and that we all should be tolerant of one another but I personally do not want to know you are gay before I know your name.

Most you won't even know about. Its the ones that hit on every guy that cause people to hate them. I'm a Christian, and don't approve of it, but most I have worked with are actually kind of nice and don't really bother me.
