Just like your teeth start to get yellow if you don't brush them good enough so do the rubber bands. I wore braces for almost four years. I never got white or black but the one time I got clear they turned yellow in a couple of days. No matter how much I brushed them they still changed colors. I wouldn't suggest getting white or black either. I knew a girl that had white and at first they were so white that it made her teeth look really yellow against them. Then they started to turn yellow. Whenever I see people with black rubberbands it looks like they have oreos in their braces. I think silver looks the best. The metal part of your braces are silver anyway so it just blends with the bracket. Thats what I wore for the majority of the time I wore braces and I still thinks it looks the best when I see it. Good luck and remeber that all this tourture will be worth it when you get them off to reveal a beautiful smile! Just be sure to wear your retainer.

Clear rubberbands and white rubberbands both change to a yellow-ish color after awhile of wearing them. I don't know about black.

in case you do not brush your enamel properly sufficient at the same time as you have your braces on, then they're going to turn yellower and be certain you sweep quite everyone on your enamel and don't omit a gap, particularly close to the brackets, the place plaque and nutrition could get caught. nutrition you mustn't devour could be issues like blueberry's and cherry, that have intense coloration pigments and could stain on your braces. As for the technique i'm uncertain.

The black won't stain but they might fade. White will stain and be really noticable. I always get clear and they never look gross to me, they blend right in with the silver.
Hope I helped!
