It is hard to understand what you have and what the problems are.

I presume you mean that you are configured like this:

1. You have a broadband connection, either DSL or CATV.
2. You connect your modem to a router.
3. Your router has wireless capability.
4. It did work before but now it is not.

Let's start from the source, the modem and do the following

1. Shut off the modem and router and all downstream pcs.
2. Disconnect the modem from the router. Plug a pc into the cable that used to connect to the WAN port of the router.
3. Power up the router and the pc.
4. After the router and pc are powered up, open Command Prompt (start, run and type in cmd and press enter). Type at the prompt "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and hit enter. You should see an IP address for your wireless port. If you have a wired port IP, then, again in command prompt, type "ping 4.2.2.2" without the quotes.and hit enter. You will see that you are sending out 4 packets and should receive in return 4 packets. If you do, you have internet connectivity. If not call your ISP and tell them what you did. If you receive 4 replies, then type into command prompt "ping yahoo.com" and hit enter. If you have 4 positive responses your DNS is proper, if not call your ISP and tell them what you found.
5. Assuming you have positive ping response here, your ISP is providing proper feed through the modem's wired port. Open the browser to a web page and you should see it.
6. Now power off the pc and modem. Insert the wireless router connecting modem feed to router WAN port. Connect the pc via CAT5 cable to the router LAN port. Turn on modem, 30 seconds later the router, and 60 secons after that the pc. Wait for things to warm up.
7. Go back to command prompt. Type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes. You should have ip address for the wired port in the format 192.168.x.y where x - 0 or 1. If you have an IP for the wireless it means the wireless is now working, if not the wireless config at router or at pc needs to be reconfigured. Type in "ping 4.2.2.2" and hit enter; you should have 4 ping responses. If not the router needs to be reconfigured.

At this time, it is best to recontact us with answers to the above and we can help further.
