Don't be so hard on yourself, Why are you worrying yourself what other people think of you and what they say about you? They are just opinions and the only opinion that only ever counts is yours. Open yourself up, stop putting limits on yourself , let people see the real you and how wonderful you are. You are who you are and you can't change that, but you can change the way people see you. And the other thing is this is all part of growing up, so just be you, and maybe work on your self - esteem. All the best. : ) Write a list of all of your good quailities and set yourself small goals in being confident in displaying those quailities.

Becoming confident without exceptional characteristics or talent is very rare. I know this is a very superficial statement, and overall a generalization. However, it's true. Doesn't necessarily mean that talentless people that do not possess beauty, intellegence, etc. are marked by the lack of confidence. Because these people do not derive their confidence from others (who usually throw compliments if you DO possess good qualities), their confidence derives from within. Think about it, does your educational status, or beauty (which is transient) judge who you are as an individual? Well, for some shallow people, it does. But you don't have to set your standards like them. Everyone has different preferences.
If you are not satisfied with yourself or your condition, then change your judgement..alter your standards so that you would be happy with yourself.

I'm thirteen too and I also sometimes wonder if I lack confidence. Confidence is one of the best personality traits, and I believe it is a talent that everyone can master. When you wear bright co lours, people noticed you and when you wear dark colours you ultimately blend into the background and become a gloomy wallflower. I never liked being centre of attention but I push myself to limits so that people can notice my other talents! I'm good at drama and I'm Funny! Think about what you're good at and use that as your power tool! Think in your head, I'm good at this and I'm gonna amaze you! Good luck!

What you are feeling is normal. You look at them and feel their confidence. Pure show they feel the same things you do but show only their masks or veils to the world. All people have this inner child, one they protect and hide behind walls or as I call them veils. Not everyone will like you, so live life as well as you can.

Confidence is something we all have to have sometime in our life,it's better to learn it at a young age to prepare for the future. It's hard to not think about what other people are thinking of you and there's all these insecurities...but try your best!Overcome those hard challenges, don't worry about what other people think, develop your own style and express yourself more.

Confident is finding out what is important to you and pursuing it and accomplishing it. What about your friends do you like? Their fashion...then study fashion, their skills...what skills do you want to have...can you get info at the library or take lessons. Athletics? Music? want it, find someone who knows about, learn about it, go after it. And be kind to yourself...you are 13 and you got time...your still learning ... be kind to yourself ....don't let other kids define you....they got the same kinda feelings going on that you do...

oooo i have so much trouble with confidence! i have none!!!! like if i guy even walks by me, ill bend my head down. im constantly self conscience, im constantly redoing my makeup, constantly scared i look retarded. but you know what i do that always helps? see im good at tricking myself. so i tell myself im gorgous, over and over, and so on, until i believe it! and then, i act confident!
(beware of walking by mirrors, it ruins your little plan)
i dont know if this would help you, but i can convince myself im pretty, maybe you could too? i hate the way i look, but try to accept yourself. and usually you see yourself worse than other people, keep that in mind too :)

Wear tall shoes, stand up straight, look at peoples eyes, and be on a mission. Lift up people, and never fear to laugh at anything. You'll find yourself satisfied.
