Why can't i forget you
I think of you and i try to have this empty emotion
and I say to myself "I can make this through"
But then I have this devotion
That i need you in my life
and i strive
to let those feelings i had be gone
Why can't i be settled in my mind
and move on with the fact your defined
to never be mine
I felt this connection with you
that I had with no other
If i only knew
Why can't I forget you
Its not completely done, i just have two verses and i just want to know what all of you think. I know its not that great because i am only 13. But I'm going through something which i call young puppy love. This is a way to express myself cause i can't go and cry to my mom because she would probably laugh at this problem. But anyway what do u think of my lyrics?

You keep writing and let your emotions flow into the pen/keyboard. Keep working on this....put it down and come back to it.....think about each line...write some more. Maybe the most important thing to come out of your lyrics is YOU expressing your feelings so you can reflect on them or then talk about it with a trusted friend.

Hey there!! You have a great knack for poetry and lyrics! I am lyricist myself and have written MANY songs, sonnets and poems through the years!! Keep on with what you are doing b/c you ARE good!! Dont let ANYONE tell you differant!! Its ALWAYS a great time to write when you are feeling such intense emotions b/c that is when your BEST work will be done!! I think your lyrics are great, but I have just "tweaked" things a bit for you!! I hope you dont mind and that you like what I have done to an already GREAT poem!!

I think of you and try

Is something that I can get through
But there's this intense devotion
That can only be felt for you.
I need you in my life,
A piece of me now gone.
How could I fall so hard?
How could I be so wrong?
Why can't I stop the hurt
Be settled in my mind
Cut out this constant yearning
Heartache, my life defined.
I felt this connection to you
Why is it you cant be mine
For when it was all still new
It was then that I became blind!
The love I feel still lingers
Such sweet memories I knew
Love can be such a cruel game,
Why can't I forget you!?

That's really good, I think, espescially since it's not like you've been writing stuff like this for many years or anything. The more you practice writing songs, the more you get used to what kind of songs and poems you're good at writing.

i like it its better than my song Can't Leave You Alone u really put a lot in2 it ecspeacially cuz u went thru it i like it reminds me of what happened 2 me when i thought i waz in love but i waznt luv it keep doin ur thang
