I wouldn't recommend it because I tried it once when I had some problems with breakthrough bleeding back in the late 90s. I ended up with a very nasty infection. I would also be careful with the pantyliners for the same reason. If you are having a ton of discharge on a regular basis I would recommend getting this checked out by your dr. It's very possible that you could have an infection going on.

As for the not wearing panties at night so that the vulva (the vagina is on the inside of the body) can breathe is correct. I have been doing this the last 10 years because of one of my medical problems. The only time I wear panties at night is if I'm having my period.

you dont wear a pad everyday only when you are on your period and when your period ends you dont use pads
ONLY WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR PERIOD YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO USE PADS AND TAMPONS if you are not having your period then you dont have to wear pads
when you are on your period you change your pad every 3-4 hours it is abnormal only on your period you wear a pad and change to a new pad every 3-4 hours
if you wear a pad everyday its not safe the only thing you can wear everyday are PANTYLINERS they help from getting anything on your underwear USE PANTYLINERS everyday and when you are on you PERIOD USE PADS
