Depends what pills they are as some are coated so that they will dissolve when they get to the right level in your digestive tract, some don't work with diary products. Try putting them in some processed cheese and chew lightly before swallowing.... that's what i have to do to get my dog to take pills! Tip: Put the pill in your mouth on the middle of your tongue, take a sip of water with a STRAW and swallow. The tongue deals with the pill for you automatically.

Ask your dr about trying Femcon (this product used to be called Ovcon 35). This pill is designed to allow women to chew the pill such as if they are out at the time they would take their pill then all they have to do is take and chew it and not worry about swallowing.
As for other brands of birth control pills and chewing it I would not recommend doing so til after talking to your dr to see what they say if Femcon is not a possible option for you.

Probably not. Most pills have a coating that keeps it from entering your bloodstream too fast. Some pills are time released. By chewing the pill, you may be getting the inside of the pill before it was intended.

It is okay to chew pills if they are not capsules and if they are not enteric coated ( which is a barrier around the pill, usually there to protect the stomach from irritation)

If they say to swallow them whole you should probably swallow them whole, Try drinking water and putting it in and swallowing that, if that doesn't work put it in some yogurt or applesauce and just swallow it with the food!! good luck! If its impossible depending on the medication a doctor can prescribe a liquid form of the med!
