Not true. Different people's bodies work differently. I'm pregnant for the 4th time while actively taking birth control. 4 different kinds as a matter of fact. 2 of them were pills. If you're wanting to try for a baby just stop taking them and have unprotected sex. No one knows exactly how long it would take to conceive.....Some people get pregnant from missing 1 or 2 pills. Good Luck!

It depends on what pill she was taking. Most pills have their own website and would probably say for sure on there. However, most women can get pregnant within weeks of stopping the pill. Doctors say that IF they can't get pregnant within a year to be checked out because something may be wrong. Good luck.

It really depends on the person; but typically it is a few months not a year. Of course that is typically. Once she is off the pill then at any time she could get pregnant. If you both want a child I would still use some other form of protection for a few months while her system regulates, and she takes vitamins (this is esp. important if she has been on the pill for many years).

most doctors tell you to use another form of birth control for 3 months following the time that you stop taking the pill. ( foam and condoms ). to prevent becoming pregnant while the pill works it's way out of her system . after that most doctors give the okay to start trying to conceive as long as there are no problems.
once she's off the pill the's no such thing as safe sex all it takes is once .

No, it's not true. She could get pregnant in as little as 2 weeks after going off the pill. As soon as you go off of it, the protection of it is gone. Ultimately if she's trying to get pregnant, she should wait a good 2-3 normal periods before starting.

It can take up to a year after going off the pill for her reproductive cycle to get back to normal, but on the other hand it's also possible for her to fall pregnant straight away. Only time will tell.

I wouldn't put a time limit on it! If she's not taking the pill, she can get pregnant. Women have been known to get pregnant while on the pill! So my guess is....it won't take a year, then again it might, everyone is different in that sence.

I think it varies greatly with each person. I was on the pill for 15 years and when I came off of it was pregnant within 8 weeks.
