You are asking your question in the wrong category but here is your answer anyway: even if there was reincarnation it doesn't matter because we don't KNOW we were here before. For any and all practical purposes it makes no difference. It would only be a viable process if you knew you'd been here and could correct previous mistakes. Obviously everyone around you is making rookie mistakes so even if they had lived they didn't retain any information from it.

You didn't choose to be what you are.
You just opened your eyes and they told you are a human being.
So, it might well be that in another life you will again open your eyes and find out who or what you are.
Only it won't really be you. It will be a totally new creature.
This is not reincarnation, as you will not be the same, or not even the same species. It is just a theory of the endless lives we might live. Which doesn't give us much comfort, as we don't take our memories with us.
The regression, or the idea that we have seen or lived a certain situation before, may just be a trick of our brain. A phenomenon similar to the "deja vue" or "already seen".

Reincarnation is a belief that is held by many religions, new world and old...including native american doctrines. The appeal of reincarnation is the same as the appeal of all religions, in that it taps into our innate desire to want to believe there is more to life than all we see with our eyes. One of my favorite movies is "Defending Your Life" with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep. This movie takes the notion of reincarnation to a humorous, yet introspective, level as the main character dies and finds himself in an existential court-hearing in which he attempts to explain some key decisions he made in life on earth. I believe we all seek higher meaning. Even those who claim there is no God or afterlife have found their own higher meaning in that very proclamation.

This forum is of a scientific nature, not mythology. Science involves a strong component of what can be observed and measured, and proposing hypothoses (which may be supported or shot down).
You state that 'everyone talsk about ..' reincarnation and previous lives. In my circles nobody talks about it as to our minds it has no empirical evidence to support it.
Your question is one that cannot be answered as it in the realms of fantasy and mythology. You should try Religion for posing this question. In there you will find hundreds of people who agree with every syllable you wrote. In here there are thinking people who are accustomed to using observation and empirical testing. I doubt you will find find much support for this hypothesis here.

Millions of people believe in reincarnation and past life REGRESSION (note spelling). The COINCIDENTAL (note spelling) aspects are just that, in my opinion--coincidental. However, this is a religious issue. None of us will ever be able to know the truth about the afterlife until we reach the end of our lives. If you find this subject fascinating, there are many books on the subject. Try your local library.

What if reincarnation were fact? And in your past life you were your great grandfather or great grandmother,or any other past relative regardless of gender. Would this incestuous past life be repugnant to you? What if you were one of the most disgusting historical figures known like Hitler,Genghis khan,or Stalin? I would imagine being an animal in a past life would be the most disgusting of all! Although we all carry part of our past in our brain anatomy, and it it is reminiscent of past animal associations!

If there was such a thing as reincarnation you would have to ask yourself what you might be doing in a quadrillion from now or a quadrillion to the power of a quadrillion years from now.

The confluence of overwhelming ignorance with overweening arrogance.
(physical reality) - (empirical reality) = faith
Faith is destroyed if it works. If you have faith you can only be denied. Test of faith!
What if the Keebler Elves secretly hid gold dust in their cookies?
If Helen Keller fell in a forest, would she make a sound?
What is the sound of one handwith the clap?
