In January/february/march (lol i cant remember which one) i had some brown discharge which people said was my first period, it stopped after about 4 days. I have now just started having brown discharge again and i was wondering if it really is my period as i wouldn't think that i would have brown discharge twice?! Erm also i do not think this matters much but i have got pubic hair but no under arm hair?! will this make a differnce?

Help me please?

If it is my period?! Should i wear a pad or wait until it fully comes?

When I first had a period it was a year before I had the next one.
Wear a light panty pad if the discharge is not too much if only to keep your panties clean.
Bodies take a while to mature and so do periods -they can start light, like a brown discharge, for a while.
Take note of the date that this began and see if the same happens the following months.

Ovbiously its your first signs of your period, yes i had the same, its really just natural for blood to discharge in a brownish color for the first few times of " T.O.M". You should be wearing a pad if its comming back, somtimes some girls periods dont come along as strong as others. Or its sighns of maturity, just for discharge only though, if you do have blood, definantly wear a pad so it doesnt embaress you some day. You also might need to check with your doctor, just to make sure.

Hats off to you, your becoming a woman..

Yeah, it's spotting, you are getting ready for a period. you seem to be developing pretty late. Just buy some of those mini pads and wear those when you get the brown discharge. If you're really uncomfortable, go to the doctor.

This brown discharge is just old blood and yes it can be an indication that your period is on the way. I would also recommend talking to your mom about this for additional information.

Wear a pantie liner.
See you GP but don't worry it is very unlikely to be anything wrong. It doesn't sound like a period but women can have strange things going on and I have had brown discharge myself (in my case it was due to stress).
Could also be your body getting ready for proper periods.
It's fine that you don't have under-arm hair enjoy it while you don't have to shave, I'm sure it will grow one day and if it doesn't you're lucky.

Sounds like the start of your period to me. Right now your body is just getting used to the whole idea of being a woman's body. It'll take a while (like up to a year) for your period to look normal and come at a regular time.

Wear a pad now, it can still dirty up your underwear. The whole point of wearing a pad is so it won't do that, so yeah. Go right ahead.

Congrats and welcome to womanhood!

Looks like you are going to become an official women soon. This discharge sounds like it's pre-menstrual stuff. Talk to your mom. If she can't help you talk to the school nurse or your doctor soon. You don't want this going on for too long if it has nothing to do with your period.
