which is better tomb raider legend or anneversary?

I haven't played Anniversary yet but I'm going to choose TRA because Legend doesn't follow the same storyline as TR1. TRL has the black outs where the screen goes blank; this problem is supposed to be fixed in TRA.

I need to get with the times. I thought I had all the Tomb Raiders, but I've never heard of these two.
