Hi, I need to share a USB device over the Internet, the client and the server communicate from behind routers, I can't get them to connect, and I can't play with port forwarding of the server side. Is there any way to connect the 2 PCs without port forwarding? like VPN or SOCKS proxy?

Well a VPN doesn't use port forwarding at all it simply makes the "remote" computer part of the LOCAL network. So that is certainly one answer.

If however you cant control the "routers" behavior at the server end how you would be able to setup a VPN is beyond my thought process because that is the end that has to setup the VPN. If you have access to both computers you can use something like GoToMyPC and it will setup a "VPN" remote desktop for you.

If the computing gadget does not have an ethernet nor a USB conenction you could verify wether it has a prompt ethernet/ aerial. If it runs XP or Vista you could bypass to the community centre and take a check out to characteristic a conection. If the computing gadget does have prompt. If the computing gadget does not have USB, Nor prompt equipped in, nor under pressure out ethernet (RJ45) you could basically ask in a keep for advice.
