Alice Baby I agree with you a 100% percent. Kobe
is a cancer. He will destroy any team he goes to.
He blames every one for not doing well, he wanted
shaq out to be the man, and now he blames buss for
not getting him better players. He thinks he has friends
in the league but most player know he won't pass the
ball and will shoot, thats why he could not pass to shaq
and though he was the reason for the 3 titles and figured
he could be like MJ and win without a big man.
Well he is not the Next MJ, he is not even able to
get pass the first round and the team is a .500 team
with him.
So I am with you, I like the Suns and I hate to see them
get him, even for nothing, because he will shoot all the
time, and the team chemistry will go to hell.
I think the Lakers will trade him, and I think they will get
bette because of it.
By the way what happened to the burrito dinner you and
I had planned? I am not going to wait for ever.
LOL

I don't hate Kobe either. I think he a very talented guy. But as a player, he is way overrated. I can only honestly ranked him in the top 20, number 17 on my list. And I can prove with overwhelming evidence that those 16 players ahead of him are better.
And Kobe is the top paid player in the NBA? He's too overrated and he wants that kind of money? I'm definitely not going to pay him more than what people pay for Baron Davis. That's why I don't want him on my team. If he can't even beat Baron Davis or Gilbert Arenas, why should I pay him so much money that I cannot hire more good players for my team? Lakers don't even have enough money to sign an outside sharpshooter.
And if I had Kobe, I'd play him like Pop plays Manu Ginobili. Oh, by the way, Manu averaged more in every category except turnovers this Finals series than Kobe's best career Finals, while playing half of Kobe's time. More points, better FG%, more boards, more assists, more PF.... you get the picture.
And let's not forget Kobe got 3 rings riding on Shaq's back.

I see your point. I am a huge Bryant fan but there are still some teams I don't think he'd fit in. OR rather once the trade occurs he wouldn't fit in.
I believe it has to do more with what the other team would have to give up in order to acquire Kobe. There are plenty of teams with young talent, draft picks, that could possibly lure the Lakers. But once they made the deal... it would be Kobe in the SAME situation. Him and a bunch of journeymen and underachieving players.
I don't think it's not the he won't fit. It's that I know that in order to get Kobe you'll have to offer the Lakers a lot.. so much that when Kobe leaves, he's leaving to a place where he'll have nothing to work with.
That's atleast my thoughts.

I'm a Clippers fan and would have to say that the Lakers are welcome to send him down the hallway any time. We'll give you Cuttino Mobley, Chris Kaman, a 2nd-round pick & call it a day. Kobe manning the perimeter with Elton Brand down low would be a nightmare for opponents and make the Clips an automatic contender...as for the Lakers, it would upgrade their re-building process and put in place a triple-tower frontline w/ Kaman, Bynum & Odom.

I don't hate any sports figure so please take this in the spirit it is intended. I wouldn't gut my team to get him, but I wouldn't gut my team to get anyone, but I'd love him here in Chicago. I do think, however, that there are a lot of teams that he wouldn't fit on though. He could make it here in Chicago because he'd be the lone superstar on a team full of guys that don't ever complain about their touches, or stats, or pretty much anything except losing so there's no superstar for him to chase off. I don't think he can coexist with another superstar though.

Lets put it this way, there are things in life that you love but you cant have because its bad for you. This is the same with Kobe, everybody loves him but they think if he comes then he is going to ruin things which is not true.
I bet you when Kobe wanted to be traded every single GM was up and ready to trade thier best players to get him. Even the MVP. Dallas sports front page said "Get Kobe, and if it takes Dirk, then its well worth it". The MVP of the NBA.

Lets not forget that Kobe has three rings. Here is how you win a championship1) get kobe at all cost 2) add a decent big man and a decent shooter 3) Sit back and pat yourself on the back.
