People from the Ska music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was a precursor to rocksteady and reggae as well as the area he lived in when he grew up.
He was influenced by people such as Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, the Skatalites,The Gaylads, The Kingstonians, Toots & the Maytals,Bob Andy, Ken Boothe and The Paragons.

A musician is the best you can come up with. Influenced history? I doubt it very much. I have yet to see him in a history book. I imagine he influenced history as much as Roy Orbinson, Jay Black, Dion, Tommy Sands and other great historical figures.
