hi, i'm 16 weeks and started noticing the top portion of my thigh feels kinda numb (and achy when I'm on it too long.) I get excercise 4 days a week at the gym, but I'm not overdoing it. No redness or swelling, so i'm reassured it's not a blood clot. has anyone else experienced this? I have my next appt. on Tues., just thought I could have some possible insight. Thanks:)

Hi! I got the exact same thing when I was around 16 weeks. I talked to my doctor and she said it was a compressed nerve in my spine. I guess your spine gets looser during pregnancy and your nerves get pinched easily. It got really bad by the time I was like 24 weeks. The last time I saw my doctor she told me to try stretching the muscles in my leg where it was sore. For example, my left leg is the bad one so I lay on my right side and stretch my left leg over my right so I feel the pull in my hip. It has helped immensely. I recommend that you try this because I was at the point where I could hardly get out of bed. Since doing these stretches it feels so much better. Don't worry, though. It isn't anything too serious. Good luck to you. I hope it feels better!

I've been having plenty of numbness in my legs from my knees right down to my ft. Mostly whilst I'm sitting in a single function for a even as. I consider it is beautiful usual simply attempt to preserve your legs improved.

You're probably developing sciatica or the baby is sitting on a nerve. Get on all 4's (hands and knees). Do pelvic tilts. Arch your back, then sag your back. Repteat this x 10 a few times a day to help rock the baby off the nerve. If it continues, certainly bring it up on that Tuesday appointment.

Circulation problems are common in pregnancy, which is what you are describing. When I am pregnant my legs and hands and arms sometimes go numb and I have to swing them or shake them to get the circulation going again.

If you are also feeling sore towards the back of your thigh (close to your buttocks) and pain goes down your leg, that is a condition called sciatica which is also common in pregnancy (what problem isn't? haha)
