Oh my god, just about anyone! Pick a band! Kirk Hammett is not a very good guitar player at all. Don't get me wrong, Metallica is my band and have been since '88 but Kirk really is only a very average guitarist. Same thing wiht Lars, he is a very sub-standrard drummer. The musical talent in Metallica is all from James.

I've seen claimers and then I've also seen famers.
Eric Johnson is pretty fast but just how fast I've never looked into as in the actual numbers. "Fast" Eddie Clarke (formerly of Motörhead) earned his nickname for a reason as well. There's a lot of other underground guitar players who can likely play pretty fast, it's just that they're not well known. But then I also love to YouTube "fast" guitar playing when it's really fake. I remember seeing this one video where the guy turned off the ratings and comments and it's his cheap little shred solo except he fast forwarded it using Windows Media Player while keeping the sound the same. It's so cheap, I'll see if I can find the video.

Alexi Laiho and he can sing. Dave Mustane he can do it without ever looking at his guitar. Zakk Wylde can do it while drinking a beer. Kirk is a great guitarist but he far from Metal God Status.

Hands down,Zakk Wylde is faster but heres the thing..Faster doesn't necessarily mean better..Randy Rhoads was the fastest and Yngwie Malmsteen is more of a classical player but he would be the fastest right now.
