With gas prices - driving could cost you $100 each way. For the same money, Southwest or AirTran will fly you to Louisville in an hour or so. Plus, you want to be alert assuming that you've met this person on myspace or facebook.

I have driven that route many times. You can take either I-270 to I-70 W, then in Hancock, Md take I-68 W to I-79 in Morgantown, W Va. When you get to Charleston, W Va take I-64 W all the way to Louisville. That will be about 15 or 16 hours drive to Louiville.

Or you can take I-66 S toward Front Royal, Va and then pick up I-81 S; then follow that to I-64 in Lexington, Va. Then just follow I-64 W to Louisville. Driving time will be about th same to Louisville.
