i think its got a spun bearing or lifter problem...how do i know? should i rebuild all the motor or bottom end?? or find different engine

Just get almost any 3800 engine either front wheel drive or rear wheel drive and swap over intake manifold and exhaust. Buy new motor mounts belts and hoses. BY the time the engine has worn and spun a bearing it needs a lot more work than just bearings. Lifter noise will not change when you remove plug wires one at a time "watch out zap!" loose connecting rod noise does change a lot when you find the Cyl. and remove the plug wire. Most likely knocking noise is automatic trans flex plate. SO get under there and remove the cover and check with mirror and see if you can see rust around the torque converter bolts. And cracks

Or better yet put a older model V8 with a 4 bolt main.

believe it or not, another engine can be cheaper than a new car or repairs, but unless the engine is not worth saving or not as good grade, i dont suggest it
