Getting chosen by the asker is an awesome feeling because it makes me feel like the person valued my opinion. Hopefully, I helped someone out of a jam, or gave valuable information to them. I try to be thorough and give well thought out answers, never smart-alec ones.

Being chosen by voters could mean that someone randomly chose my answer to get a point. At least if the asker chooses my answer, I know it was read. So I'll take chosen by the asker any day.

I would rather get chosen by the asker as it's more personal when done by the asker as I usually look forward to the comment by the asker. When the community votes it it's nice but it's so impersonal to me. Although I'll take a best answer however I can get them as it's still a best answer at the end of the day.

Being chosen by the Asker means that they took the time to come back and read their replies and then chose you. A vote just means the person who asked may not have even read what you wrote. I like the ten points, but I resent the careless asker for not caring about my time or effort.

I'd rather get chosen by the asker. Because those can be rigged. You could just have a friend vote for you once and you could win by default. But chosen by the asker is up to them and them alone, and it makes me feel good knowing I helped someone.

I like getting chosen by the asker, because that means that what I had to say spoke to that person in a certain way. Not that it doesn't speak to the voters, but it seems a little more personal when the asker chooses.

If it is a legitimate question then I would want to be choosen. That means the asker felt I adressed their issue. Alot of the time though I know in advance I won't get choosen because I am not real good at saving feelings. I just like to give my opinion based on what I see in the world around me. If I get voted best answer then I may have appealed to the masses rather than actually said something useful.

I say voted best answer by the asker. It lets you know that you gave them the answer they were searching for. I also like to read there comments and give them a comment back on that.

It is better to be chosen by asker and read his/her comments...When i write my answers,i just wanna get chosen by asker (not the voters 'cause it is unfair).

I like it when the asker chooses it as best answer if they feel that I have helped them in some way or they agree with my answer. However I can't stand it if an asker chooses someone as best answer just to rant about the answer that they gave just give them a thumbs down and berate them in the additional details, give the answer to the one that deserves it.
