I'm trying to find out who exactly the writer of this article is...please help...?

I've tried Googleing the writer's name, but nothing seems to come up. I'd like to know if she is a critic, a journalist, a painter, a teacher...what could she be?

She's a professor at the university linked below.

ahalyasyn has it exactly right. Proof:
Click the link at the top of the article to the Table of Contents. Scroll down. Notice that the article title, "Views In The Looking Glass . . ." is under "Works from Lower Division Courses." (That means B.A./B.S. level, not graduate school.)
Scroll back up and click the link to "Credits." Notice that the date of the compilation is 1999.
It's possible the 54yo PA professor with her own website and portrait was getting her undergraduate degree in 1999, but it seems more likely the partial identity of names (the professor doesn't show a middle initial) is purely coincidental.

It looks like the article was from an undergraduate. The article is from a journal published by CSU-Chico and the submissions are from undergraduate art students. She may well have graduated with a degree, but there is no way to tell when.

It looks very much as if in 1999, when the article was published, she was a student of Art and Art History at California State U in Chico.
