I went to Walmart today and bought this tiny plant and on the label it was called "Cactus-succulent"...I'm not quite sure what it is. It kind of looks like a Jade plant, but it is only 1.5" tall and a lot smaller than the Jade plant. Does anyone know what it could be and more importantly the care for it ie: how much should it be watered - daily - weekly?

It could be a jade plant, but the leaf tips are more purple than the red of a jade and they are more pointed and the label did say cactus...is a jade a cactus?

Succulent plants, also known as succulents or fat plants, are water-retaining plants adapted to arid climate or soil conditions. Succulent plants store water in their leaves, stems and/or roots. The storage of water often gives succulent plants a more swollen or fleshy appearance than other plants, also known as succulence.

The best known succulents are cacti ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cactus family: Cactaceae). Virtually all cacti are succulents, but many succulents are not cacti.

Succulents grow in shade or hot sun locations, only needing care just after being planted;

Are you sure it isn't a jade plant? I know Wal Mart sells them and I've gotten some "dwarf" species of jade plant there before.

Hard to tell without a pic. Give it lots of sun and water it when the soil dries out.
