In both ways it's annoying-Everyone is looking for someone who has found a happy middle.
In some ways it would be better to have someone talkative around-You would never be bored, and they would have ideas..Also usually if someone is talkative is smart...They have spoke to people who are intelligent, since they have spoke so much.
But then again, meeting someone quiet is nice, you just have to find something that makes them happy, and they will eventually talk about it. Find their favorite hobby,etc. and most of the time, its the shyer ones with a story, or have a better grasp on reality, or even just have more of a personality.
You never can tell with shy ones, so that is exciting...There's always something more to them.
So All in all, for me I would choose shy.

I'm a pretty quiet person so I would want to meet someone who is talkative.

I find that most quiet people (not all) have more interesting things to say once they speak. That's because they tend to choose their words and thoughts carefully. I think most of them want to see first if you're really listening to what they're saying. Kind of like they're testing the water. If you are, then they'll open up.
Most people (not all) who talks a lot... well, I find that most of what they say are wasted words. And most of the time, what they say has no point. And if they do, it'll take you a long time to get there.

Someone very quiet. My current never shuts up, my last never knew what he was talking about. I'd say someone quiet would hit the spot right about now.

I would rather meet a talker Talking is one of the best ways ot get to know someones character.

neither because someone who talks too much will get annoying and someone who is quit will be creepy so i would rather meet someone in the middle no too talkative but not too much quit either.
