I've had mine since Dec 2005, and no problems so far, besides the fact that sometimes (rarely, but it happens) it says there are no game cartridges installed, when I have one in (100% in and everything). I just turn off the DS and re-insert it, and it works.

I have had one nearly a year and something is wrong with it.
It hit the floor real hard twice one day, and it hasn't worked right since. If you take care of it, the DS should last a long time. Anyone want to sell a used DS to me?

Yes, do not get it wet as the top screen goes funny. This happened to my son's and I took it back to Argos and said it 'just went funny'. As it was only 4 months old, they sent it away to be repaired. The manufacturers knew it was not a fault with the system, so said they will send us a brand new one for 45.00 which they did.

My son has one and after the first few months black spots like ink started to appear until he could only see half the screen. We sent it to nintedo and they said someone either dropped it or stepped on it.. We sent it to Nintendo and they said someone either stepped on it or dropped it. We paid £25 and within 2 weeks it was sorted,.

I've had my ds since they've been out and it is as good as new (not even any scratches). I play on it a lot as well!

The only I known so far is the dead-pixel one. My friend has a red pixel on the touch screen... it peers into your soul.
