I think you have done all you can do right now. This is a terrible thing for anyone to go through, maybe having a friend or family around you right now would be a little more comforting.
This time of year the temps are in the low 100's and it's difficult to give an "exact" amount of time an "average" person can survive in the desert without water however, I would speculate a person can survive and function 3 days in the desert before serious dehydration. There are many variables though which are unknown so this is definately not accurate. Dehydration is not plesant and not something that overwhelms someone quickly so it is also very possible that your husband will have a change of heart and seek help when the first signs of dehydration start. I base this on my own experiences in the desert, I live in the Palm Springs area and our temperatures are very similar all year around. I've spent alot of time in the CA, AZ & NV desert.
I will pray for you and your husband.

God will help you if you have faith and believe he will...pray the Angels bring him back and surround him and protect him....it is three to four days without water he can last weeks without food..but I have some questions for you....why would he go into the dessert to commit suicide? why a slow and painful death? and vegas? you might want to rethink this...look at the whole picture here. Were you two having trouble? something sounds too fishy about this all...you might want to look in Vegas at some of the casinos and such...your husband sounds like he left for a better time moreso than to commit suicide...as for you stay strong either way...and have faith that all of this will work out for you...

I'm so sorry about what you are going through. You might want to call the National Suicide Helpline at 1-800-273-TALK. If you could find a professional to talk to about what was going on before he did this...it might help to guess what's up.
Also, check the organizations listed at http://www.thelink.org/nrc_ncsp.htm...
you are currently a survivor of a suicide threat......personally it makes me angry that someone would do this to you ... there are no right feelings right now...so most important is don't judge your reactions to this situation and do what your doing...look for support.
God Bless...

The truth will come out later. Not just yet. There might be something else going on. Accept that there is nothing more you can do. Christ went into the desert to find himself. He might be back in one piece. If he does, ask him nothing. Just show him love.

First, let me tell you how sorry I am. Keep the faith. There is support in your area I am sure. Keep looking.
One of my ancestors died passing through Death Valley when his car broke down. I never knew him, but I heard the story.
The police will do their job.
Don't think how long he can last, just have faith that he will be found.
God be with you.
