No one necessarily NEEDS a partner, but it's nice to have one. I haven't been with anyone in years, and it's quite ****** depressing if you ask me.
But you're right, some people feel the need to always have to be with someone. I tend to stay far, far away from those types. The ones who bounce in and out of relationships constantly.

Finding someone to build a relationship and a life with is a feeling that no one can ever completely explain, but the expereince is one that everyone should experience at least once. I think its kinda bad to think that you NEED someone, sounds borderline dysfunctional, but being the hypocrite I am, I NEED my fiance'. He is my heart, and I would be lost without him. That being said, if you are ok, without a partner, rock on!!!! More power to you!!!!

Society puts pressure on people to become a couple. Unnecessarily. I don't know why they do that...I guess they all assume you're lonely when you don't have a partner. Personally, I was my MOST lonely during the years I was married!

Awesome monogamous sex-sex-sex- and more sex. We are one of a handful of species on this earth that practice monogamy. If you don't have any desire to become close with another human than you may suffer from some mental illness. Get help soon and get yours. There is nothing else like it on the planet.

I don't think we were meant to go through life solo or else we would be able to reproduce on our own.
It's totally acceptable to go through life without a partner, but it's a lot easier to have someone to share your life with...
