i have a question about a verizon wireless cell phone?

i got this phone from a friend because she got it wet and it didnt work and she got the number switched over to a new phone. the phone i have is a prepaid phone and has minutes on it and it also works now, how do i get a number for it???

The phone that your friend gave you is still registered under her name as a prepaid account. What she needs to do is to contact verizon wireless prepaid and actually tell them that she is no longer using that prepaid account and that she will givng that phone to a friend to use. Otherwise, that prepaid account and phone will still be linked to her.

Call *611 on that cell phone to contact verizon wireless prepaid customer care.
