What is wrong with your imagination as a resource?

Then there's the penny dreadful, sci fi comics and books. There's probably too much out there.

As for the best website building tools, I would advise you to keep with what your are familiar, and if you are unsure your friends and teachers are bound to be able to make some recommendations.

In general where you are bereft of ideas. Write down the title then What, where, why, when , who, how, and fill in the blanks.
A mind map is a useful technique.

You will also need to consider the purpose of your website. Is it going to be an invader's blog? A warning of the dangers of the aliens? A scientific observation? Or a 'historical' look at invasion ideas of the 20th century?
