Were you rejected by a lot of dems? Is that where the blind hatred comes from?

Being very general shows just how ignorant you obviously are. Perhaps your parents didn't send you to a private school. As a Democrat I don't give a rats behind where you send your kid to school. It is your money and your kid. I don't get angry about it and am thrilled when kids are successful. I oppose vouchers but I do not oppose private schools, church run schools, nor home schooling. Some private schools are better schools and some are not. We normally assume they are. If you can afford to send your kid to a private school, church school, or home school him doesn't bother me in the least. What bothers me is that there are prigs out there who think I care.

Yes they do. In the town I am living in the Kids are used by the administrators as pawns in their struggle with the state.
The state won and finally took over the school system and now I can only hope the kids get the education they deserve. The democratic local government has failed these kids for years, and yet if they really cared about them they would have let the state government which has a much better record taken over the school long ago and admitted they were worthless pieces of scum who aren't even smart enough to realize they are failures.

They don't get angry because you want to send your kids to a better school. They get angry because you think that your precious offspring is worthy of school vouchers and should be allowed to go to a better school on the governments dime taking money away from the public schools. If you want your kids to go to a better school you pay for it yourself stop whining to the government for a hand out.

Teachers do not want to have their performance judged in any way. By seeking choices you begin to see differences in performance and will quickly understand what a poor job our public education system has done. The democrats do not want anyone to rise above the pack. They can control the pack with help from the public education system. They cannot control those of us who want more for our children and more for each other. What Dems want is to control things. It's a lot like the Soviet Union and other socialist organizations.

the real question should be is why have schools degraded to such an extent that all kids are not getting the education they deserve ? both parties are responsible for the demise of our educational system -there has been and will continue to be on both sides as long as the robber barons on both sides take care of only special interests and not the citizens of our great country

They think it will abandon public schools and many are worried about the unions since it forms a big block of their party.

The unions have too much power. Teachers do everything they can to keep their jobs. Some may be interested in educating children. Most want the guaranteed income and regular pay raises.

Democrats don't hate it if you want to send your kids to a better school. We're just not interested in giving you public funds to do it.

You're free to send your child wherever you want. The rest of the schools will probably degrade in many ways, rather than improve if we segregate based on income. . .but let's face it. . .there is a history in this nation of flight to the suburbs--then exurbs--then gated communities by "people of means". What's that all about??
