No. I am very lucky. I was working 2000 miles away while she was still in the town we met and would have the wedding. She did the planning and everything. My tasks were quite limited --- arrange my relatives and best men to go there by when, what to wear, and then the logistics of people leaving town. Had a very small budget. Also had over a year to do this.

Stress and agitation is totally normal. But sometimes this fighting can actually underlie much greater problems that could cause divorce in the future. My advice is to postpone the marriage and find pastors and therapists with which to work with to decide if this really is right.
Remember, in the grand span on time, a six month delay is nothing at all. And it is certainly worth it if you are trying to find out if this is really the person you should be spending the rest of your life with.

Nope. We didn't argue at all. We didn't have a lot of stress either... we decided on a destination wedding... so they took care of everything. We told them what we wanted and they worried about getting it and etc.
We still don't argue very much... two years later!

no sorry we were so excited about picking everything out and were so excited for the day to come to have our families meet but i know it is stressful and maybe if you take a few days not worring about the wedding and just go have fun together things will get better

wedding planning can be stressful, more arguing is normal....to a point,, if the guy is starting dumb arguments over nothing he is probably getting cold feet.

Yes...it was a stressful situation and it generated a few dispute....now brace yourself cause buying and renovating a house will be the test of all time for both of you.

Sort of...the tension level went through the roof; it's like stage fright and jitters combined, but it'll pass. Congratulations.

No, we kept it simple to avoid stress (which I don't deal with well) and agreed to not let anyone in either families have any say whatsoever.
You're getting married, do what you want. Invite who you want. It is YOUR day, not theirs.
