In some movies I watch I see a person who trying protect his friends from danger. When he fight someone and get beaten up badly then the killer strike one of his friend making his friend get hurt/kill. He then get them emotions which surpass his strength and take down the killer.

Is that true? What is it call?

its called an adrenaline rush, your body goes into "fight or flight" mode and you get a sudden boost of energy

yes, it is very true. your body can produce extra adrenalin and give you more strength. it called an "adrenalin rush".

I read once where an old lady lifted a mid-sized car off of her grandson. the car fell off of the lift, right on top of his chest. he lived, but required surgery and physical therapy.

I've heard of such situations, even read about it in psychology books. I don't know what it is called, but it is like "road rage", but in a more positive way.
