Julia, In your climate your tires would last appreciably longer if you had the air in your tires replaced with nitrogen. Tires don't gain as much pressure or heat after a long run. Being an inert gas it contains no water, rust and dirt. The wheels will not rust or corrode internally and tire life is increased 15 - 25%. The best advantage is that nitrogen molicules are enormous as compared with air thus less leakage around the tire beads and through the tires themselves.
Most progressive tire shops are equipped to do this.

I don't think the ambient air temp of LV is high enough to make a difference. As long as you keep them properly inflated and your car has good alignment, you should be OK. Assuming they don't wear out from mileage, then the 6 year replacement mentioned in the first answer is probably good to go by.

It depends on how much you drive, just take a penny an hold it in the tread with Lincolns' head down, if the top of his head is visible, then it is time to replace the tires.

Actually, the hot weather doesn't effect the tires as much as you might think because the tires get hot when you drive anyway.
Before everybody stars objecting, yes, when a car is parked outside all the time and it is always hot, and when you drive in hot weather, it wears down your tires more, but not MUCH more.
