i want to audition for acting, but not sure where? or what to do. some help.

i'm 13, i haven't had any acting classes unless you count one semester of drama class....

There are unified auditions in many cities across the US where small acting companies get together to audition hopefuls together.
You'll need two monologues ready as well as possible song and dance. One monologue should be funnyish and one dramatic to show your adaptibility.
If you audition for a specific part - act it - wear the clothes, hair and affectations of the person(s) you want to play - this will give the auditioners a sense of your desire to act as well as see how well you fit into a role.
Many cities have web-sites where you can find scheduled try-outs and cattle calls.

It really depends on what type of acting your into. Have you ever acted at any place before? if so, try seeing if they have auditions that are open to the public. Google "______ (your town) theatre auditions". There are some pretty good sites on the web.

P.S. Most theatres have you prepare a short (1-2 minute) monologue. If your into musical theatre, you might have to sing about 6 measures of a song.

Have you taken acting classes? How many years?
At which school did you study theater?
If you want to audition, find where auditions are being held. There are probably newspapers in your city that have audition information listed.

try typing in "casting calls" in google search. it would help to also type in the name of the city where you live. This works for me.

All you have to do is get an agent and the agent will audition you to some places it really easy!! im an actor my self at disney channel!
