has anyone filed for allimony without filing for divorce and are there guildlines if you qualify for it

i do work full time but he ran out on us and left me with all the bills car note ect.. before we married my kids and i lived in a smaller place and i drove a paid off car and we were ok but when we married we got a bigger house a new car and had more bills and i'm left to pay it alone

Alimony depends on the length of time you've been married and your financial situation. If you're working full time and have only been married for 5 years, chances are slim that you'll get alimony. Child support, yes.

Since you are able to work and worked during your marriage and have marketable skills, you are not entitled to any alimony. Once you get a divorce then you can split the bills and decide who is going to pay for what, but remember that is an agreement between the two of you and not your creditors. You will both continue to be equally responsible to the creditors until the debt is paid off.

Why do you want alimony...are you disabled? Get up and get a real job.
