Ive recently installed Firefox , and so i went to download.com to download some stuff and i also tried a lot more websites using Firefox but every time im download something , it wont let me RUN it without installing it, unlike internet explorer i that i could run with out saving


so can i do anything about it?

Firefox lacks autorun for program installation because it is viewed as a security risk...something Microsoft doesn't care much about. Save it to your desktop first, then run it.

When you download something, you should see an option to "open with". That will open the file instead of saving it.

There's a box next to the 'open with' where you can pick which program you want to use to open the file. Usually Firefox already has the best program picked out. So you don't necessarily have to worry about that part.

Anything that you download that contains a "Install.exe file must be installed before it can run. It doesn't matter what browser you use to download the file.
