Not good. Last night I heard that Congress will now,
put their earmarks in a bill After it's passed. We might not
hear about their pet projects until a week or day before the
bill is passed.
One congressman said it's better we don't know what
they are spending our money on, because we would
want to add in our own pet projects. I mean, Geez!
Then I heard that convicted politicians are still collecting
thousand dollar pensions while serving time. There was
a bill to put a stop to this, but no one showed up to sign it.
I think they're going to control guns by stealing so much
of our money, in the name of taxes, that no one will be
able to afford a gun, except them, of course.
All of DC needs to stand back & take a good look at
their distrustful & disturbing behavior.
I don't think not having guns will stop people when they've
finally have had it up to their necks.

I'm fighting to protect the Constitution all the time.
Unfortunately I'm one of the POOR politicians, not a rich one. The powerful comes from the people who vote and contribute to the campaigns.
Gun control for the purpose of preventing an uprising will never happen. Confiscation would be nearly impossible. There are too many guns in circulation now to make any diffierence, even if there never was another new gun manufactured or sold in this country. Any good revolutionary knows that the best weapons are the ones "liberated" from the authority in power.

To answer your last question first, we knew some efforts would be made on gun control after VA Tech and the NRA also supported the effort so I had no problem with it. I really don't think the majority of politicians even think of an uprising when voting on gun control. I do not think we need another Revolution with blood on the ground, I do think we need a revolution in thinking where we learn truly who our enemies are abroad and not allow terrorism to flourish in any way no matter what we have to do or the costs.

There's not going to be an uprising...gun control or not!
An uprising would interfere with social security checks,
welfare checks and food stamps being delivered on time!
And beside responsible people need a scapegoat to blame their short commings on...this way the democrats and
the republicans can have a heyday blaming each other while
the rest of us beat our brains out on the job everyday trying
to beat out a living!

I try every election season.
However, I much prefer rich politician running the Country to Communist/Socialist. They take all the money and hand it out to the lucky few.
So, the question falls back on you: What is your idea as to what you put in the place of the American system?

If it weren't "rich and powerful politicians" trying to control our life it would be/is "powerful corporations". I don't agree with tampering with the Constitution like what's been done the last several years. There must be accountability in whatever group is leading our country but we have to be the ones to ensure that it happens.

No means of violence will reap long term positive results. Americans will have to wake up and vote accordingly. Our government fears an educated populace. Our best defense are people who have the education, talent, and will to make the necessary changes

Most assuredly the push for gun control is to disarm the citizens.
I think we are so totally controlled now that 99% of the people don't even see it anymore and are quite content to live out their lives on the wheel.
And, it's way too late to change it. We are on the way to Armegeddon and this is all part of the scenery.
