Mr. Thompson's appearing to struggle with the abortion issue will probably endear him to Americans, assuming he tells the truth about his alleged "flip-flop."

I'd say a person could actually be pro-choice and think Roe v. Wade was a usurpation of state's rights, incidentally.

I have never been interested in supporting this man in the first place, and it makes no difference to me whether he flip flops on this issue or not! I support Roe vs Wade, and I will never change my mind about that...but there are other issues that I consider even more important, and I think that we should leave Roe vs Wade alone, and focus on all the other quality of life issues that really need to be addressed. As far as I am concerned, Roe vs Wade is settled and is exactly as it should remain...and those other issues are far more urgent. *sm*

I am stunned by this shocking turn of events. I thought Fred Thompson was the great conservative saviour the likes of which the world has not seen since the greatest President to ever grace our great nation Ronald Reagan was alive. I am shocked by this. I thought he had integrity, I thought he had morals, I thought he stood for something. Well he definately won't be getting my vote.

He's already been flushed by Dobson and Robertson for it. No fundy churches, no GOP win.
