I happened to drop by my sisters yesterday. She had an issue with a maitnence problem and wanted some company while waiting for the contractor to arrive. Well..shortly after he does show. Seemed like a nice guy. A lil old for me though. My sister is in her late 30's and is married. Not soon after he arrived somehow he& my sister struck up a conversation. In fact one of his first questions was if she was married. She says "yeh" but then goes on with "unhappily." I was taken back, because although it is true, this guy just met her. He went on to tell her that he is divorced w/ kids and at times dates. He even told her she was "A good lookin' woman." I dont want my sister to get hurt, she has been through alot. Next thing I hear is he is wondering if she would have a "friend" on the side and proceeded to give her his #. She is my sister and best friend. I am afraid he is wanting one thing only and she is at least hoping he sees more than that. How can I help her understand?

by tellin her husband. no but seriously she needs to know that if she is not happy with her husband then she should divorce him and get wit someone who is better not a guy she just met, everyones life is messed up and her thinkin bout talkin 2 diz guy will make her life more messed up. just try to explain to her all the things u realized that day when they were talkin and i m sure she will finally understand what u mean. good lluck!

Your sister is a big girl and understand if you try to get in her business where she does not want you you will no longer be best friends. So let her go on with her life.

I'd tell her that cheating is never the answer to resolve an unhappy marriage. Seek marriage counseling, if they are both willing to try, if not then get a divorce!
I don't think it was right or appropriate for her to be spilling her guts to a total stranger. She is being gullible and is only asking to get used.

Well hopefully she gets the hint by the conversation, the guy just wants to be her 'friend on the side' aka 'booty call'
Just be blunt with her, she's old enough to get it, and maybe she does and thats what she's lookin for right now...

If he really said "friend on the side" then chances are he's looking to get some action and that's about it. If she's still married and taking numbers from strange guys maybe you shouldn't worry so much about her getting hurt and think about her husband

It sounds to me like your sister is old enough and smart enough to know better all by herself without your help. Don't you agree?
She ALREADY KNOWS that all he is after is sex. She's married!
Sometimes we really do have to stand back and let people make mistakes, watching them, while wishing we could beat some sense into them.

Sounds to me like the contractor and your sister are on the same page.I don't understand why she wanted you there .
It could be she wanted to be open with you about her future plans

i think your sis is also looking for just one thing. stay out of the situation. she is a big girl. perhaps she is so unhappy that she really needs this excitement to just get by. like i said it is none of your business.
